I must admit my past few months have been a bit crazy and I’m just now settling back in to some form of normalcy. The first week of my Senior year has begun. I’m overwhelmed and overjoyed at the same time. I think I’m finally beginning to understand who I am as a designer, what I would like to achieve and things I’d like to learn. This week has got me thinking a lot about space and time, about how the things that we see around us affect our perception of space and time; and vice versa, how time itself changes our entire world. It’s a crazy thing to think about. I tend to take the notion of time for granted. Time changes spaces, people, thoughts, words, images, trends, just about everything. Today’s doodle is central to not only the idea of time, but space and community. My current project involves a space close to us. Time has changed it. We will change it again, then what happens next? Does it get torn down, covered up? Does something go in it’s place? It’s sad to think that I take the world around us and the time that I have for granted. If I don’t pay attention, things will get left behind. Why do these things change? What makes change for good? ACTION. A lot of times I feel that we sit back in the world that we live in and don’t take action. That’s one thing I’m working on, initiative and with that, follow through. My goal for this year is to finish what I start, and continue to learn new things.
